John Mayer, winner of seven Grammy Awards, announced his first tour in the past three years to promote his fifth album “Born and Raised” with “Born and Raised World Tour”. Released on May 22, 2012, this album is considered “his best album to date”. Born and Raised World Tour also features Phillip Phillips and NEEDTOBREATHE.

Phillip Phillips is an American singer and songwriter who won the eleventh season of American Idol on May 23, 2012. NEEDTOBREATHE is an American rock band from Seneca, South Carolina.


The tour began on July 6, 2013 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and will be hitting your Windy City on August 9, 2013 at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre, Tinley Park, IL. First opened in 1990 this amphitheatre is one of the largest outdoor music venues in Chicago area with the capacity of about 28,000 viewers.

John Mayer, born on October 16, 1977 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is an American rock musician, singer, songwriter and music producer. He began his career with acoustic rock music and gradually shifted towards the Blues genre. On September 18, 2001, Mayer released his first album “Room for squares” which was a commercial hit. He, then, came up with albums such as “Heavier Things, “Battle Studies”, “Continuum” which were also huge hits. “Born and Raised”, his fifth album, is another transition in his musical style that sold over 10 million copies in the U.S. and 20 million worldwide.
